PGR Joins 4400 Class with a Miller Chassis

As Proving Grounds Racing (PGR) grows season after season the team is excited to announce the build of the new 4400 class car! With many leading companies building new off-road race cars, the Proving Grounds team has planned the path of their Ultra4 car with the help of Miller Motorsports. The newest edition to the PGR racing fleet will be a Miller Pro Chassis. This chassis has been tried and true through the builds, drivers, and successes, and PGR is ecstatic to continue the team’s success in progressing into the 4400 class with this unlimited Ultra4 chassis build.

Since 2015, Proving Grounds Racing has had a long journey in the racing circuits. Starting with the 4570 modified machine competing in Ultra4, Best in the Desert, and More/Snore races, they have climbed the ladder of success. With multiple podium positions in Ultra4 and back to back 4th position in the Nationals Point Championships in 2018 and 2019, John Grounds has carved a path for success for the team. While John Grounds and John Snell took on the 2017 Ultra4 series together in the 4570, the duo also set out to build a new 4600 stock class Ultra4 race car to compete in. The 4671 became a reality making its maiden voyage at 2018 King of the Hammers. Since then, Snell in the 4671 has taken home 3rd in the Western Series 2 seasons in a row and 3rd place in the National Series for 2018.

Proving grounds Racing is as “grass roots” as they come when it comes to a team of goal-oriented individuals, much like Miller Motorsports. Erik Miller has had great success in his career in off-road racing as well as chassis building. With Ultra4 on the rise, more teams are choosing Miller Motorsports as their base chassis for competition. In 2020 alone, a Miller chassis occupied the 1st and 3rd steps of the KOH 4400 class podium.
